Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Selftape Studio mobile application (the “App”) and related services (collectively, the “Service”), provided by Filetrack Inc., 5944 Coral Ridge Dr #516, Coral Springs, FL 33076, USA (“we,” “us,” or “Selftape Studio”). By downloading, installing, or using the App you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility & Account Security

1.1 Age Requirement. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to use the Service.

1.2 Account Creation. The App uses Sign in with Apple for authentication. You agree to keep your credentials secure and are responsible for all activity under your account.

1.3 Personal, Non-Commercial Use. The Service is licensed to you for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may not sublicense, resell, or distribute access to the Service.

2. License & Intellectual-Property Rights

2.1 Our Content. All software, graphics, logos, audio outputs, and other materials we provide (“Selftape Studio Content”) are owned by or licensed to Filetrack Inc. and are protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. You receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to use the App on your personal iOS device.

2.2 Your Content. Any scripts, recordings, or other content you import or create using the App (“User Content”) remain your property. By using the Service you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your User Content solely to provide the Service (e.g., parsing scripts, generating speech).

2.3 Prohibited Use for AI Training. Neither Selftape Studio Content nor User Content may be used to train, fine-tune, or evaluate artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models without prior written consent from us.

3. Paid Features & Billing

3.1 Subscriptions & Purchases. Some features require a paid subscription or one-time credit purchases. All transactions are processed through Apple’s In-App Purchase system. Pricing, billing frequency, and available plans are displayed in the App at the time of purchase.

3.2 Free Trial. New users receive one (1) complimentary script import to try the Service, along with full access to playback, recording, and library features.

3.3 Pro Subscription. After using your free import, a paid subscription is required to continue importing scripts. The Pro subscription provides five (5) script imports per month plus priority parsing. Additional 3-packs of import credits may be purchased separately for $4.99 each.

3.4 Refunds. All purchases are handled by Apple. Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple in accordance with their refund policies.

3.5 Taxes. You are responsible for any taxes or duties associated with your purchases unless we are required by law to collect them.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Violate any applicable law or infringe anyone’s rights;
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App or its components;
  • Attempt to bypass security measures, authentication, or usage limits;
  • Upload malicious code, scrape content, or interfere with the Service’s operation;
  • Access another user’s account without permission;
  • Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose.

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these rules.

5. Privacy & Data-Protection Compliance

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and secure personal data. This section provides additional required disclosures.

5.1 Identity of the Data Controller

Filetrack Inc., 5944 Coral Ridge Dr #516, Coral Springs, FL 33076, USA, is the data controller for personal data processed through the Service. For privacy-related inquiries contact support@selftapestudio.com.

5.2 GDPR Disclosures

  • Legal Bases. We process personal data only when we have a lawful basis, including (i) performance of our contract with you, (ii) your consent, (iii) compliance with legal obligations, or (iv) our legitimate interests (e.g., improving the Service and preventing fraud).
  • Your Rights. EEA/UK/Swiss residents may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, or portability of their data and may object to processing or withdraw consent at any time by contacting support@selftapestudio.com.
  • International Transfers. Data are stored and processed in the United States. Transfers from the EEA/UK rely on appropriate safeguards, including standard contractual clauses.

5.3 California Privacy Notice (CCPA/CPRA)

  • Categories Collected: identifiers (Apple ID); internet/network activity; device information; commercial information (purchases).
  • Business Purposes: provide and secure the Service; process transactions; improve the App; analytics.
  • We do not “sell” personal information. We do not “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • Consumer Rights: know, delete, correct, limit, opt-out, and non-discrimination. Contact support@selftapestudio.com to exercise your rights.

5.4 Security & Breach Notification

We maintain industry-standard security measures. If a data breach occurs, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities as required by applicable law.

5.5 Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we learn that we have, we will delete it promptly.

6. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers to deliver core functionality:

  • OpenAI -Script parsing and text-to-speech voice generation. Script text is transmitted to our server, which proxies requests to OpenAI’s API. No user data is shared with OpenAI beyond the script content necessary to perform these functions.
  • Apple -Authentication (Sign in with Apple) and payment processing (In-App Purchases).

We do not endorse or assume responsibility for the practices of third-party services. Their use is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

7. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE AND ALL SELFTAPE STUDIO CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not guarantee the accuracy of generated script parsing, voice output, or speech recognition.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FILETRACK INC. AND ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Filetrack Inc. from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your User Content, or your breach of these Terms.

10. Suspension & Termination

10.1 Our Rights. We may suspend, disable, or terminate your account or access to any part of the Service at our discretion, with or without notice, for any reason including violation of these Terms.

10.2 Effect of Termination. Upon termination the license under Section 2 ends; you must cease use and delete any copies of the App. Sections that by their nature should survive will survive termination.

10.3 Your Rights. You may stop using the Service and delete the App at any time.

10.4 No Refunds. Except as required by law or Apple’s refund policy, all payments are non-refundable.

11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA. Any disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, held in Broward County, Florida. You waive any right to participate in a class action.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version and updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated through the App or by email.
